Reflection 8- The Issue Of Race june 25th

As a teacher, it is important that everyone is treated equal. In education, whether it is a student, administrator, or colleagues no one should be discriminated. Most importantly the students come first. If you show a student discrimination or get off on the wrong start, the relationship you have with that student won’t be positive and they will not feel comfortable in your classroom.
Second, your administrators because these are the people who have authority over you and their opinion is the most important. Whether you are a great teacher or not they can let you go simply because you made them uncomfortable. Lastly, but not of any lower value is your colleagues. These are the people you see and interact with everyday, if these people are uncomfortable by anything you are doing you would most likely be alone and as a teacher it is good to have resources.
